Scenes painted from in and around East Ferris Township, Bonfield, Powassan, Mattawa and Callander. Most people are fictitious… but not all!
This picture was done for Participaction, before the new Municipal office opened. Sold to the Municipality of East Ferris
I also painted the new township hall.. with councillors Rick Champagne, Terry Kelly, Mayor Paulette Rochford, Lauren Rooyakkers and Steve Trahan.
Ice fishing is big on the lake…. please note, we found that cell phone you dropped…
A new medical centre opened in East Ferris, so I painted it.. .I then painted our wonderful Pharmacist Sheriff in when he was added to the left of Dr. Seguin (Doc on the Lake) and Dr. Blake.
And we have a wonderful library here in the township! I think Jennifer is hiding in the window above the fitness centre…
Sci Fi and Fantasy invade the library … okay.. so there are not quite enough books in my genre available imho.
Images depict the annual bass tourney, the old railway station at Astorville, the hill down to Perrons Freshmark in Astorville, and the old Booth Dock
In this picture I decided to picture the station as it might have been back in the day.
Some images from Bonfield - the fall fair has my work on their concession booth! Great place to snowmobile and ATV the one picture is of what I call Cathedral Woods.
Nearby in Callander my husband and I have many ties, from attending the Cook Book Book Club at the library, to our wonderful Dr. Riley at the clinic, and Kim doing Tai Chi in the park. Two restaurants have my paintings, though sadly Le Cafe closed. Recently Callander rebuilt their lovely lighthouse!
Nearby are also Powassan, Mattawa, and the Almaguin Highlands.
And of course, North Bay is our nearest larger city.
And of course, just outside our window in East Ferris, is one of the nicest places to paint.
